#2 Self-Discipline = Self-Love Mahatma Gandhi had a quote “Be the change you want to see in the world.” And I have a quote “ Be the love you are seeking from the world.” This brings me to one of my favorite topics and second stage of Yoga – Niyama. Which means self-discipline. Whenever we talk about self-discipline, we become strict with our self but today I will talk about the other side of self-discipline, which is Self-love. Every human on this planet is searching for love, attention, feeling of importance etc. We all want to be loved and often want to hear from our loved ones “I love you”. You may hear it from a lot of people but sadly you don’t hear it from one person and that is You. Have you ever told yourself I love you? At a very young age I realized the value of self-love and started this practice in which I would often stand in front of the mirror, look into my eyes and say to myself “ I love you”. It is very important to love yourself and keep telling how much you love yourself. The moment you start loving and showing love to your self, you will see that you will never be miserable. Other people’s love will become an extension of your life and not the reason of your life. You will be the source of your love. Loving yourself is also very important in order to achieve success in life. The other name of love is acceptance, and the moment you will accept yourself you will be able to work with yourself, you will create miracles in your life. You need to have this understanding, this belief that you are capable of achieving everything and to have this belief and understanding, you need to love yourself. So from today start showing unconditional love to yourself. Take some time on a daily basis and stand in front of the mirror, look into your eyes and say to yourself “I love you”. Let every cell of your body hear these words and believe in your love. With love nothing is impossible and everything will become possible when you are the source of the love that you need. This year spread love to every cell of your body and let every cell of your body help you to bring success in your life.
